Your private ride diary
Every ride,
kept beautifully.
Contour brings back the joy of riding a bike. Record your rides, relive your stats and share a card — no feed, no rankings, no social noise.
- No account
- No ads · no tracking
- Privacy blur by default
- GPX / FIT export
Three things, done well
A quiet home for loud rides.
Contour does three things — record your rides, show your stats, and keep everything in sync. Nothing else asks for your attention.
One-tap recording
Start with one tap. Auto-pause at red lights, Lock against pocket touches — and four big numbers: distance, speed, elevation, time.
A ride diary, kept beautifully
Maps, charts and photos for every ride. Routes painted by speed and an elevation profile worth scrolling back through.
Stats with rhythm
Weekly, monthly and yearly totals, trends and personal bests — a rhythm you can feel. Never a leaderboard.
Badges worth the climb
Milestones across eight series — a 100 km club, streaks, long climbs. Collected on your own terms, shown to no one.
Private by default
The start and end of every ride are blurred on maps and exports. No account, no ads, no trackers — rides live on your iPhone.
Yours to keep
Private iCloud sync between your devices, Apple Health workouts, and GPX / FIT / XLSX / JSON export. Open formats, no lock-in.
Screens
Designed like an Apple app.
Because it should feel like one.

Privacy
Your rides stay yours.
Contour is the antidote to social fitness apps: everything it records, it keeps on your device — and every sensitive detail stays sensitive by default.
Recording works the moment you open the app. No sign-up, no email, no profile — sync and backup exist only if you turn them on.
Rides live in a local database on your device. There are no Contour servers holding your data — there are no Contour servers.
The first and last ~300 m of every ride are treated as sensitive: excluded from maps and GPX / FIT exports, so a shared ride never reveals where you live.
iCloud sync (Pro) runs end-to-end through your own Apple iCloud account. Your data is never visible to us — Apple encrypts it, you own it.
Contour has no advertising or analytics SDKs. Network use is limited to what a ride needs — map tiles and elevation lookups — never your identity.
Export any ride as GPX or FIT — or everything as JSON, XLSX and batch ZIP. Open formats you keep, not a walled garden you rent.

FAQ
Good questions.
Is Contour really free?
Yes — recording, the ride diary, stats, badges and Apple Health export are free, forever. Contour Pro adds Bluetooth sensors, deeper fitness trends, high-fidelity exports and private iCloud sync as a monthly or yearly subscription (yearly includes 1 month free).
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by the app. Cancel anytime at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
How do I move my rides to a new iPhone?
Turn on iCloud sync (a Pro feature) on the old device and sign in with the same Apple ID on the new one — rides, bikes and settings come across through your own iCloud. You can also export everything as an open JSON file and keep the backup yourself.
What is the start/end privacy blur?
By default, GPS points within about 300 m of where a ride starts and ends are treated as sensitive: they’re excluded from maps and from GPX / FIT exports, so sharing a ride doesn’t reveal your home. You can adjust the radius or turn the blur off in Me › Privacy & Security.
What does Contour write to Apple Health?
Nothing until you turn it on. When enabled, each finished ride is saved as one workout with distance, calories, elevation, speed and the route. Contour never reads anything from the Health app.
